Imagine looking seven years younger than you currently do. Imagine that you can do this in just seven weeks, without getting surgery or Botox. Imagine also getting more energy, glowing skin, glossy hair and a flat belly. Sounds too good to be true right? All you need to accomplish this is to follow the plan in the book 7 Years Younger.
How does it work? Good Housekeeping combined the research and scientific studies of nearly 5,000 tests on beauty products, diet and fitness programs. Hundreds of real women were interviewed and tested. The book helps weed out the thousands of anti-aging products on the market that don’t work and it recommends ones that have been proven to work in their lab testing, and even give you a shopping list for the plan.
The book is broken down into seven categories — Skin Care, Beauty, Hair Care, Weight Loss, Exercise, Brain Fitness and De-Stressing. Helpful tips include making a promise to yourself and committing to the program. Other tips include:
You can also learn about the amazing results of 10 panelists who went on the 7 Years Younger plan. Several lost nearly 12 pounds and decreased their body fat by 4.3%.
The second-half of the book is the actual seven week plan. The first week is called “Jump Start.” It is designed to help you make changes in each of the seven areas gradually. On Day One you start by following a prescribed meal plan, beginning a skin care regimen and adopting strategies for getting better sleep. As you go through each day in the “Jump Start” phase, you add additional tasks to your daily routine. By the end of the week you are incorporating daily tasks for exercise, eating healthy, skin care, sleep-well strategies, makeup, meditation and deep breathing, hair care, and memory tricks. The rest of the plan builds on the “Jump Start” week and adds more activities to each of the seven areas that are designed to help you look and feel 7 Years Younger.
The plan requires dedication and a willingness to adapt your lifestyle. The regimen is not for everyone, only for those that have the necessary willpower. According to one of the panelists, “There are a lot of diet and exercise programs out there on the market. And there are a lot of beauty tips you can get… but 7 Years Younger has taken all of those things and put them into… a one stop shopping experience for your… overall beauty and health and mindset.”
