What is a FoodTrient?

The inspiration for my empowering FoodTrients program—this website, the cookbook, my board of advisors—really came from my father.  He was a physician and he had a way of looking at food as though it could heal us.  He understood the value of the vitamins and minerals found in fresh foods and how those elements could influence our health.  Foods like organic fruits and vegetables, wild fish, and humanely raised animals have so many good things in it: antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, anti-inflammatory agents, fiber, and anti-bacterial compounds.  I needed to come up with a term to encompass the […]

Grace O and some members of the FoodTrients team just returned from a whirlwind trip to France where we met food writers and professionals from around the world, and discovered again how food is truly an international language that connects us all. Grace O Launches Age Beautifully in the Philippines

On September 13 at 3:00 p.m., a benefit and Foodtrients tasting event for Bright Halls Foundation was held at the City Club Ballroom in Alphaland Makati City. Grace O (Ouano), the creator of FoodTrients, was honored to be invited back to her home city of Manila by the Bright Halls Children’s Foundation to launch her Age Beautifully Cookbook in the Philippines. Attention! Let Them Eat Cookbook (Cake)

On a recent trip to Germany, I stayed in the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera hotel.  The Sofitel prides itself on its world-class service and attention to detail. They utterly surprised me when I checked in. To my delight and astonishment, Matthias Schulze, the hotel Butler, had done some research on me before I had arrived. He found out that I was a cookbook author, and asked the pastry chef to prepare this dainty cake in the shape of my Age Gracefully Cookbook. What a thrill!

Live & Dine LA Event Is a Foodie’s Delight

Los Angeles is not just the City of Angels, it’s the City of Food Angels who were out in force on Sunday (July 30) to support the Los Angeles Mission and to offer the over 1,700 people attending the event sample tastings.
